The Club...

The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club at Burnham-on-Crouch is just 60 minutes by train from London and known as the Cowes of the East Coast.

The Club boasts large fleets of keelboats, dinghies, sailing and motor cruisers, as well as an active junior section, the Corinthian Otters.

Each year we host many national and open events, including the prestigious ‘dinghy champion of champions’ Endeavour Trophy.

We have some of the best sailing facilities in the country with an ‘all states of the tide’ pontoon and launch services, excellent changing rooms, as well as (optional) full race management that includes race officer, committee boat, mark laying and umpires.

All of the club’s fantastic amenities are available to your crew throughout your experience here with us, including but not limited to, the launch service from our pontoon, use of our function suite and bespoke catering packages.

Corporate events...

Using experienced and qualified helms, plus full race administration, our corporate package is perfecty positioned to deliver both client experience and employee team building. The Royal Corinthian is the place for client entertaining, team building or inter-company competition. Our small yet diligent team allows us to create a bespoke experience, entirely tailored to your needs and expectations.

Some guests opt for high level racing with 8 back to back short races, while others prefer a more gentle outing. Whether you’re an experienced sailor or a nervous novice, we can cater for all ability levels and will guarantee a fun day on the water and arguably, the best sailing experience on the East coast.

We’ve many dining options for your event and just one could be a welcome breakfast, picnic lunch or even a fabulous prize giving dinner with a choice of great wines, the Royal Corinthian prides itself on attention to detail.

Our chefs and friendly staff will cater for all your culinary requirements, be it bar snacks, packed lunches or sit down meals in the splendour of our sun-soaked bar and balcony, or our first floor ‘Trophy Room’ restaurant, both with unspoilt views over the river.

Our sample charter menu gives you a taste of what we can offer but our chefs will happily put together a personalised menu for your event.

If you’re joining us for a two day regatta, we have standard cabin rooms on-site or we can recommend accomodation, all within a short walk in the riverside town of Burnham-on-Crouch.

All in a day's sailing...

10.00am

Briefing in the club, racing programme and safety. Guests kitted out.

10.30am

Launch to boats that are rigged and ready to go.

11.15am

First of eight short races of between 20 and 30 minutes.

4.30pm

Prize giving and dining at our iconic riverside venue.

Two day regatta...

Make the most of your experience by joining us the evening before your event.

We welcome you to enjoy a delicious bistro menu at the club. Relax and enjoy your drinks and food, along with the stunning scenery from one of our balconies overlooking the river.

Retire to one of our on-site cabin rooms or recommended local hotels.

The following day, start the main event with our hearty breakfast buffet before your charter begins.

Have a break between races and enjoy lunch back at the club, or for convenience and al fresco dining we can even have packed lunches ready for collection.

All the fun without the hassle...

The Club’s fleet of 707 sports boats are impeccably maintained and can be chartered for cruising, racing, training or corporate events at very competitive rates.

707s suit small groups with 4 or 5 sailors being the ideal crew. With a wide cockpit and simple layout, they’re a safe and fun way to get out on the water. Sail without the hassle of boat ownership: no upfront purchase cost or depreciation, no ongoing maintenance or insurance premiums, no mooring, launching or lifting fees – simply none of the associated costs or responsibilities of boat ownership!

This is ‘pay to sail’ in its simplest form, allowing you to sail as many times as you want.

Why not charter a boat for your own training or just for cruising on the beautiful rivers, Crouch and Roach. All the club’s facilities are available to your crew throughout your charter period. As an option, we can also provide qualified skippers and experienced race coaches to ensure you get the most from your time with us.
